The swimming pool, which is 15m by 7m, is in the terraced garden above the house and has a stunning view across the valley to the town of Cortona perched on the top of its hill. The pool is surrounded by a large paved area, partially shaded by wisteria and rose covered pergolas, and furnished with sun loungers. Guests are supplied with swimming towels during their stay and there are fun floats and toys for our young at heart visitors to play with. The swimming season is usually from mid-May to the end of September and the water temperature has a seasonal variation from 18°C to 28°C
We use an ion based system for keeping the water clean which means that the chlorine content is extremely low, and no other treatments – no more sore eyes and itchy skin! Both the pool and the surrounding area are cleaned every day.
