La
Cesa is surrounded by 12 acres of garden, hayfields and woodland,
a paradise for naturalists, especially those interested in butterflies.
In spring and early summer the natural garden and woodlands are
covered in wild flowers and with patience you can find some of the
wild tortoises which live on the terraces under the woods.
The garden has been designed using a wide variety of plants chosen
for their perfumed flowers or their scented leaves, with plenty
of fresh herbs for use in the kitchen. There is also a wide range
of fruit trees which offer our guests the rare opportunity of eating
fruit, warmed by the sun, straight from the tree.
In summer, shady areas are created around the house and the pool
by the pergolas, providing attractive areas for eating and relaxing
outside.
There is a games area, big enough for five-a-side football, on the
lowest of the olive terraces which gives everyone the opportunity
to play lively games without fear of damaging anything.
There is a large area, slightly away from the house, which provides
shaded parking during the heat of summer. The house is reached easily
from the village along an asphalted country road which leads to
the long cypress avenue entrance to La Cesa
